A seal, in an East Asian context, is a general name for printing stamps and impressions thereof are used in lieu of signatures in personal documents, office paperwork, contracts, art, or any item requiring acknowledgment or authorship (wikipedia). Our Chinese names work very well with the design of the seal, which usually uses ancient Chinese text as a form of typographical design. I like my new Chinese seal a lot... a smaller stone was chosen so it works better with my sketches on my sketchbook. The smaller seal design wouldn't steal the attention away from the sketches but act as an secondary accent on the page. At the same signifying the authorship of the sketch.
The seal was done by Mr Tan Chin Boon. He is one of the best locally.
