Painting on location has always given me a better impression or memory of the place. This was painted in Chicago during my 5 day trip there. While waiting for our friends to finish their tour in the Planetarium, I found a spot right next to Lake Michigan and started painting away. I have wanted to paint on location with watercolor and this was my chance. Even though this was completed in 25-30 mins, it felt as if I was there for hours. Painting has allowed me to appreciate the place better, definitely better than just simply taking a snapshot with my digital camera and walk away.
